2011 Park City Point 2 Point Sells Out in 6 Minutes!

February 15, 2011 by admin

The 2011 Park City Point 2 Point race SOLD OUT IN JUST UNDER 6 MINUTES this year.  We thank all of you that registered, and we also thank those of you that tried to register.  Please mark your calendar for February 15th, 2012 7PM Mountain Standard Time, we will do it all over again.  Safe racing to all in 2011!

A TON OF INQUIRIES ABOUT A WAITING LIST > THERE IS NOTONE. The race is sold out, if you want, keep you eyes open around our Facebook and Twitter presence, and you can always watch/post on the forums (MTBR.com is a good one).  Wish we could accommodate everyone, we simply can’t.  Good luck in your quest to race the PCP2P.

NOTE:  There are no refunds and no transfers to the following year (rain checks) if you are the holder of a P2P race spot.  However, you can sell your entry and that process happens through our registration partner at athlete360.com > Last year most racers wanting to sell an entry had a pretty easy time finding someone to take it (buy it!).  If you are cool, you’d sell it at face value plus the transfer fees.

I would like to suggest for next years registration that those who complete (finish in the alotted time) the race have an opportunity to register for the next years race at the end of the race. They would have to pay and register that day only, otherwise they would have to wait until the online registration is opened.

Not a bad idea…I do want new people (racers) to have the ability to get in every year, this kinda negates that idea. We will keep it on the “consideration” pile. Thanks for the idea.

Wow. I can’t believe how fast that filled up. Is there a wait list to fill spots that people may bail on? If so, what do I need to do to get on it? Thanks.

Sorry, we do not have a wait list. We will have our REGISTRATION TRANSFER system up in the next couple of weeks on Athlete360.com

Sorry. I hate to say it, but I told everyone multiple times this could go quick, be there at 7 sharp if you really want to race. I wish I could let everyone race, but that just can’t happen. We will have our transfer system up and running in a few weeks.

I’m trying to register for point 2 point and it’s saying that registration is closed @ 7:06. So I’m to believe that 320 slot closed in 6 minutes…? That doesn’t even seem possible. Even Ironman can’t fill up that quickly. Can you please HELP. There are two of us here trying to register and it is 7:35

I had to work until 7 with no internet access. In the 10 minutes it took me to drive home the race filled. I’m really hoping to get a transfer spot and even better 2 spots so that my g/f can race. Please email if you have one or 2 spots to sell.- Kip (kjbike@yahoo.com)
