PRE-RACE INFO
- COURSE: Find the FINALIZED 2026 course info on the Course & Maps page.
- WAITLIST: Once registration caps out, registration goes to a waitlist. When a spot in the race opens (via a registered rider withdrawing) an invite will go to the first person on the waitlist. If invited from the waitlist, you’ll get an email and have 3 days to accept the invite, at which time your credit card will automatically be charged the registration fee. If you do not accept the invite within 3 days, your credit card will not be charged, you will be dropped from the waitlist, and the next person on the waitlist will be invited to register. The last date to accept an invite off of the waitlist is August 27th, 2026 at midnight Mountain Time.
- WITHDRAWAL POLICY: Stuff happens. It might be injury or a major life change. Whatever happens you have the option to withdraw from the race until August 27th, 2026 at midnight Mountain Time. Your withdraw will be automatically processed and the credit card you used for registration will be refunded the registration fee minus a $40 processing fee. To withdraw, visit https://www.bikesignup.com/, log in to your account, click on your Point 2 Point registration, and request a withdrawal. You may not defer your entry to next year and you may not transfer your entry to someone else.
- PACKET PICK-UP: MANDATORY. Friday, September 4th from 3pm-7pm at the NEW Skullcandy location. 1640 W. Redstone Center Dr, Park City. Between Barnes&Nobles and Petco. If you are racing, YOU MUST SHOW UP TO PICK UP YOUR NUMBER PLATE. If you would like to make a change to your category, you can do so at packet pickup. There WILL BE NO packet pick-up on race day morning. NOTE THAT THIS IS A DIFFERENT LOCATION THAN PREVIOUS YEARS.
- RACE INFO SESSION: On Thursday before race day we will post a recorded race info session on our social channels, email a link to all racers, and send a text to all racers. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that all riders watch this video for last minute race details. Feel free to email the RD with questions.
- WEATHER & AQI CONTINGENCIES: The event is non-refundable. If the scheduled Saturday of Labor Day weekend ever forces a cancellation, the plan will be to run the race on Sunday or Monday of Labor Day weekend (as long as conditions permit) or cancel the event outright if needed. Additionally, the race director has the approval to finish the race at Silver Lake in Deer Valley, or at the Park City Mountain base area, cutting sections of the course as needed if racers are in danger due to AQI or weather. Please understand, we can’t predict or control the weather/natural events, we will do everything in our power to complete the race, but your ENTRY IS NON-REFUNDABLE. Thanks for your understanding!
- AIR QUALITY INDEX (AQI): We keep an eye on AQI as wildfires continue to be an issue in the west. After research and input from local experts, we have determined that an AQI sustained at or higher than 150 on race day would make physical activity unsafe for participants. In that case, the event will be postponed, and we will explore Sunday or Monday as alternate dates. If we completely cancel, regretfully, there will be no entry fee refund.
- GOOD STUFF: Every racer gets something groovy just for registering, two raffle tickets at packet pick-up to bid on some great stuff, and a finish line food truck meal. AND if you survive to wheel across the finish line, you’ll receive your “I DID IT” finisher gift.
- “I’M SOMEBODY” AWARD: Presented by Scott Sports and inspired by the character from the movie The Jerk, Navin R. Johnson was elated to finally see his name in the phone book and declared, “I’m somebody.” You typically see the same fast riders winning stuff at races because they podium time and time again. Well, this program is designed for those of us that finish…but not on the podium. We will draw a random time between 2:50pm and 8:00pm (racers who finish before 2:50pm are FAST and our final finisher usually rolls in around 8:00pm). Let’s say the time drawn is 6:52pm and you are the first finisher to cross the line after 6:52pm, you are going to win a Scott Speedster Gravel 40 bike. Thank you Scott!
- LODGING: For close and convenient lodging locations close to the course, we recommend the Best Western Plus, The Pendry, and The Montage. See our LODGING PAGE for more info.

RACE DAY INFO
- START AREA & PARKING
- IMPORTANT – YOU MAY NOT leave your car parked at the Quinn’s Junction Trailhead (Start Area) all day on race day.
- Most riders get dropped off at the start. The person who drops you off can park, stay to watch the race start, stick around to see you come back through this same area (mile 11 of the race), and then leave.
- You can park at the finish line (Utah Olympic Park) starting anytime on Friday. Park only on the farthest WEST side of the main parking lot – away from the main UOP buildings. NO PARKING CLOSE TO THE UOP BUILDINGS.
- You can also park at Park City Mountain Resort’s (PCMR) lot at 1345 Lowell Ave on Saturday AM and then ride your trusty steed to Quinn’s Junction Trailhead Start Area. The route is 3.9 miles and is mostly flat on a paved trail. There is public bus service from the Park City Kimball Junction Transit Station (just downhill from the finish line at the UOP) back to PCMR after you finish the race.
- If you stay at the Montage hotel, arrange a free shuttle from the Montage to the start line on race morning and back to the hotel from the finish line after you finish. Arrange the shuttle in advance with the Compass Sports team at (435)604-1531.
- Again…you can’t leave a car at the Quinn’s Junction Trailhead Parking Lot (start line) all day – It will be towed at your expense.
- The start area is located at the Quinn’s Junction Trailhead in Round Valley. GPS coordinates are +40.679296, -111.469562.
- Directions to Start Line from Salt Lake City: Take I-80 East toward Park City, take Exit 146 to merge onto US-189 S/US 40 S towards Heber/Vernal, take exit 4 towards Park City and turn right onto UT-248 5, take your first right into Quinn’s Sport Complex, take your first left at the dog park, and look for a lot of people with bikes.
- RACER DROP BAGS: Each rider can have TWO drop bags. You are not required to have drop bags, it is just a nice to have if you don’t have crew meeting you at one or both of the crew accessible aid stations. The drop bags can be left at the start line in two separate piles. One set of bags will go to Aid Station #1 (Mile 33 – The Montage) and the other set of bags will go to Aid Station #2 (Mile 54 – PCMR). CLEARLY LABEL YOUR BAG(S) WITH YOU RACE PLATE NUMBER. Bags should be no larger than 60 liters (approx. 12″x12″x24″). No hard sided coolers. All bags will be returned to the finish line.
- DROP BAG #1 for Aid Station #1 (Mile 33.5 – The Montage): Your #1 bag will be waiting for you at the finish line when you finish. This bag is a great place for anything you would like accessible at the finish line (clothes, recovery drink, etc). This is also a great place to stash any last minute items you have at the start line just before you start (IE – jacket).
- DROP BAG #2 for Aid Station #2 (Mile 53.9 – Bottom of Park City Mountain): Our goal is for your #2 bag to arrive at the finish line before you finish. In order for this to happen, after you have used the bag at Aid Station #2, you must move it to the “USED drop bag bin”. If you do not do this…you may have to wait for your #2 bag to arrive at the finish line with the last load of bags around 4:30pm.
- Things NOT to place in your Drop Bag(s): Car keys, drivers license, and credit card. While a DNF is never the plan, sometimes it happens. And if it does, it’s better to have these items with you, than in some drop bag somewhere.
- RACE ROSTER: 2026 Roster will be published a few days prior to the event.
- RACE START TIME: P2P has 5 start waves. The first race wave will start at 6:50am on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend.
- START WAVES:
- The event is chip timed, so you don’t need to be in the front of your wave to get an accurate time.
- Self-select your start wave. Be realistic. Start in the wave you feel you’ll most likely finish in.
- Age Group racers who starts in an Open/Pro wave will be assessed a 30-minute time penalty.
- Start Waves (these are estimated start times but the event is chip timed, so no stress)
- 6:50am – Open/Pro Men
- 6:53am – Open/Pro Women
- 7:00am – Single-speed and Age Group 7-8 Hour Finishers**
- 7:04am – Age Group 8-9 Hour Finishers
- 7:08am – Age Group 9+ Hour Finishers
**Special note to our fast single-speed and age group (7-8 hr) riders – PLEASE, be respectful if you ride through the tail-end of the Open/Pro groups. Be polite, ask for the trail to make a safe pass. If we get complaints about you, you will be DQ’ed.
- AID STATIONS: There will be 3 Aid Stations and 1 Water Station:
- Water Station (Mile 23.0) – St.Regis. Don’t blow by without topping off your water, you’ll regret it if you do. This station will have Water, CarboRocket, and First Endurance shots (Mocha & Vanilla gels), no other food/nutrition. The water station will be located next to the St.Regis. Crews can access their riders here but they must park at the Deer Valley main base (fee) and ride the Funicular (free) up from the lower St.Regis to the upper St.Regis.
- Aid Station #1 (Mile 33.5) – The Montage. Drop bags and crew access. Crews can access their riders here in two ways:
- Drive up to the Montage and valet park for free.
- Park at the Park City Old Town Transit Center (OTTC) for free and ride the FREE Purple Bus from the OTTC directly to the Montage. Bus departs every 20-minutes and is a 8-minute ride
- Aid Station #2 (Mile 53.9) – Park City Mountain at the bottom of First Time Lift – Northwest End of Base Area. Drop bags and crew access. Crews need to use caution and stay clear of the racers getting to and from the Aid Station. 3:30pm cutoff time (racers must LEAVE aid station #2 by 3:30pm or they will be cut from the race).
- Aid Station #3 (Mile 65.0) – The Oasis on Mid-Mountain. Just when you need it, you just might never leave. This location will have the good stuff and more, all aimed at getting you to the finish. NO SUPPORT CREWS or public hand-up allowed at this location.
- Aid Stations are NOT neutral – meaning the timing clock is still rolling when you are in the aid station.
- PUBLIC HAND-UPS: Riders can receive support, food, beverages, etc ANYWHERE along the course, with the following exceptions: NOT at Aid Station #3 and NOT anywhere that is not legal access (no parking areas, private property, etc). Anywhere else is fair game to receive hand-ups from your support crew or the general public.
- Crew Pro-Tip – A great place for crews to access their racers is at the top of the Park City Town Lift. Crews can take the lift up ($41 ticket…ouch) and conveniently access their racers right at the top of the lift. The racers actually hit this location twice (mile 38.4 and 41.4). If it is a hot day, support at this location can be make-or-break, especially for back-of-the-pack racers.
- AID STATION FOOD
- Liquids
- Water
- Ice
- Coke, Ginger Ale, & Mountain Dew (only at Aid Station #2 & #3)
- Red Bull (only at Aid Station #3)
- Real Food – Fruits, sweets, salty treats, and (only at Aid Station #2 & 3) some hot food options.
- Electrolyte Drink Mix by CarboRocket and unmixed CarboRocket 333 for one-off mixing (will not be pre-mixed)
- Nutrition – First Endurance Shots (Mocha and Vanilla). Racers are encouraged to train in advance of the race with First Endurance. Use promo code “P2P26” at checkout for a 25% discount.
- If there is a food, drink, or nutrition product you can’t compete without, we encourage you to bring it yourself via your support crew or drop bag(s).
- Liquids
- CUT-OFF TIME: The cut-off time for LEAVING Aid Station #2 is 3:30pm. Racers that do not LEAVE Aid Station #2 before 3:30pm will be removed from the race. It is heartbreaking but we must maintain this cut-off in order to protect the safety of the riders, plan volunteer shifts, schedule medics, and follow our permit restrictions.
- RESULTS PROTESTS: Protests of results needs to be done at the finish line with the Race Director. Gather the details of your protest and present them before the presentation of the category awards being protested. Once awards to the top five have been presented, they are final. Positions below the top 5 can change after the award presentation but not after the day of the race.
- RACE RULES
- No in-ear headphones
- There are a few sections that the course is on public paved roads and/or crosses paved roads. These roads are open to traffic and it is the riders responsibility to obey traffic laws and stay safe.
- Helmets are mandatory
